Mount Olivet Cemetery offers a peaceful place for remembrance and reflection. Across our 71 acres, thousands of trees, shrubs, and flowering plants bring beauty to every season—from spring blossoms and autumn foliage to the quiet landscape of winter.
Our History
Mount Olivet’s first organizing meeting was held in Maspeth on March 26, 1850. The Cemetery Lodge (office) on Grand Avenue was built in 1936.
Hours
Office: Monday - Friday 9am - 3:30pm
The office is closed for weekends and holidays. Burial services may be conducted on the weekends via appointment.
Main Gate: 8:00am - 4:30pm Everyday
Back Gate: 8:00am - 4:15pm Everyday
Visitor Guidelines
No pets or dogs
No dumping
No loud music
Commercial filming or photography anywhere at the cemetery requires prior permission. Filming of any kind inside the Cemetery Lodge (office) requires prior approval.

In order to comply with the NYC Department of Health; and for your safety and health, we ask that you do not use any water holding receptical, these include but are not limited to urns, vases, cemetery cones etc. Any of these items will be removed without notice or compensation.
